A crash which saw a multiple emergency services response has left one man in hospital being treated for injuries after his car went over the cliff at Marine Drive, the partly-closed road on the coast south of Douglas.
Police, fire, ambulance and the coastguard were called after 999 calls were made by members of the public.
The call-out to a section of Marine Drive at Keristal came at about 3.50pm on Sunday.
A Toyota Yaris had left the road and landed at the bottom of the cliff.
Firefighters worked alongside the coastguard to transport lifesaving personnel and equipment to the crash site.
Police confirmed a 48-year-old man is being treated in hospital for injuries which are not life-threatening.
There were no other passengers in the Toyota and no other vehicles involved and no further information has been released about the cause of the crash.
The RNLI said that a helicopter from the coastguard was also called to the scene.
The coastguard said: ’A call from Isle of Man Coastguard was made just around 4pm today asking for assistance from our HM Coastguard helicopter based at Caernarfon. It looks like the crew is about to lift a casualty to Noble’s Hospital.’
The fire service said: ’This was a great example of all our emergency services working together as a team.’
