The Isle of Man Post Office has announced that no airmail has arrived on the island today (Friday, September 22).

The Post Office statement reads: 'Due to technical issues with our provider's aircraft no airmail has been received in to the island today.

'Therefore priority items including special delivery and parcelforce express24 will not be delivered.

'Local to local mail and sea mail are unaffected.

'We will provide a subsequent update if any further disruption is anticipated.'
