The Isle of Man Post Office has announced that there will be no airmail today.

Its statement reads: 'Due to technical issues with our provider's aircraft, no airmail was able to leave the island last night and has not connected with the Royal Mail delivery network.

'Subsequently, no airmail has been received on island today. Therefore, priority items including Special Delivery and Parcelforce24 will not be delivered today.

'Normal parcel deliveries and local priority items remain unaffected.'
