More than 50 amateur sleuths packed out the Henry Bloom Noble Library when crime writer Martin Edwards hosted a 1920s murder mystery evening - Murder at the Manor.

Dan Davies, Stephanie Gray, Bob Harrison and Beth Espey performed the mystery play and the audience had to work out the identity of the murderer.

After that, Mr Edwards signed copies of his latest book, Gallows Court and hosted a question and answer session.

Among the audience was Peel crime writer Alan Bradley.
