Cathy Morley is the new ‘head of people’ at island law firm Quinn Legal.

She joins the team with responsibility for spearheading the firm’s employee recruitment, retention, benefits, wellbeing and remuneration programme.

She is tasked with driving forward the firm’s commitment to employee wellbeing.

James Quinn, founder and chief inspiration officer, established Quinn Legal, which is based in Ridgeway Street, Douglas, in 2009.

He sees Cathy’s new appointment as a continued expansion for the company.

Mr Quinn said: ‘This role has been formed after a period of growth for Quinn Legal and having Cathy head up the department is a really exciting development for us.

‘We’ve invested a great deal of time and effort building on our strong culture and company ethos, and this new role will help to reinforce this and take it to the next level.’

He added: ‘Cathy is passionate about employee welfare and maintaining a community environment in which people feel happy, productive and connected.

‘She will work closely with the leadership team to help yield growth and profitability and is already proving to be a great fit within the company.’

With a strong background in employment and HR, Cathy’s career includes successfully heading-up a human resources department with another local law firm, and she is now looking forward to her new position with Quinn Legal. She added: ‘Quinn Legal is a well-respected law firm, known as a proactive and forward-thinking company who are not afraid to be bold.

‘It’s an exciting time to join such a progressive company with an excellent team spirit and I’m delighted to be part of this next stage of the firm’s journey.’
