Massive payouts have created multiple millionaires on island-based software giant Microgaming’s so-called progressive jackpot network.

A lucky player on Grand Mondial Casino won a mind-blowing €4,603,056.85 (more than £4,036,000) prize.

As with all wins on the Microgaming designed game, the life-changing win has been awarded as a lump sum and not in annuities.

Microgaming’s progressive network continues to live up to its reputation as a millionaire maker, having awarded a mega jackpot each month in 2018 so far.

The year got off to a winning start on January 14, when a €2,424,117.20 (more than £2,100,000 plus) prize was triggered at Zodiac Casino.

February fired up the second mega win of the year when an enormous €4,769,344.11 (more than £4,181,000) was awarded to a Royal Vegas Casino player on February 27.

Nine days later, the progressive network created another multi-millionaire when a fantastic €4,365,843.63 prize (more than £3,827,000) was won on Captain Cook’s Casino on March 8, marking another major mobile win on the network.

Microgaming’s Major Millions 5 Reel slot also joined the celebrations after it paid out a €1,896,616.91 ( more than £1,663,000 jackpot to a lucky Betsafe player on February 2.

David Reynolds, games publisher at Microgaming, which is based in Circular Road, Douglas, said: ‘We all thought 2017 would be a hard year to top after the network paid out over €150 million (more than £131,636,000) in jackpots, but 2018 is shaping up to be a huge year for Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network.

‘Multi-millionaires have been made each month so far and we are incredibly proud to offer the largest progressive jackpot network in the industry.’

Both Microgaming and Quickfire operators have access to Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network, which has paid out more than €874 million (more than £766m) to date.
