Global gaming software giant Microgaming is helping to keep the memory of Playboy pioneer Hugh Hefner alive by launching a new game.
The larger than life American character Hefner died last September aged 91.
Microgaming, based on Circular Road, Douglas announced today (Thursday) it is promoting a new game called Playboy Gold.
It means the company is strengthening its brand partnership with Playboy with the new online ‘slot’ game for 2018.
The new title will join Playboy’s enormously popular original Playboy online slot which launched five years ago through Microgaming as well as a revolutionary Playboy live dealer, the industry’s first branded live dealer studio.
The new game will be unveiled at the huge ICE Totally Gaming Show at ExCel, London , between February 6 and 8. Then it will launch on March 7, said Microgaming which opened new offices in the Manx capital last year.
David Reynolds, games publisher at Microgaming, said: ‘To work with Playboy again has been a real pleasure.
‘They are one of the most recognised and popular consumer brands in the world.
‘We are excited for the game’s launch and to be unveiling the title at the industry’s biggest trade show!’
Valerie Golson, Playboy’s senior vice president of gaming and location based entertainment, said: ‘We’re thrilled to be working with Microgaming to expand our partnership and introduce a new gaming experience for players around the world.’
Meanwhile, the Isle of Man Government’s Department for Enterprise, representatives from the island’s Gambling Supervision Commission and a large delegation from the Isle of Man’s eGaming sector will be attending the ICE Totally Gaming event to promote the Isle of Man as a world-class destination for eGaming business.
There will be more on this in next week’s Isle of Man Examiner.
