This was the scene on Port Erin beach this morning (Saturday) after a car became stuck in the sand.

The light blue hatchback had been driven down the slipway and onto the beach last night before its front wheels became stuck in the sand close to the Cosy Nook cafe.

It was then left stranded by the incoming tide.

Police attended the scene this morning and a recovery vehicle arrived around 8am to tow the vehicle away.
