A Douglas man who has denied six counts of making and possessing indecent images of children has been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.

He cannot be named due to anonymity laws introduced by the Manx Government in March.

The allegations are said to involve 46 indecent images found on devices.

The images have been categorised using the Copine scale, which measures their severity from one to five, with five being the most severe.

Five of the images were categorised at level four and one at level five.

The defendant will appear at the higher court on a date to be set and is currently on bail.
