A Douglas man has pleaded not guilty to possessing an indecent image of a child.
He cannot be named due to anonymity laws introduced by the Isle of Man Government in March.
The court heard that it is alleged that one image was found, and assessed at level one using the Copine Scale.
The Copine Scale assesses the severity of images from one to five, with five being the most severe.
A pre-trial review will be held in summary court on October 24.
Bail has been granted.
