Pulrose’s primary school will have a new headteacher from January.
Tuyet Ramzy has been appointed to the role at Manor Park.
Ms Ramzy will undertake a period of induction and shadowing with the current headteacher, Riss Forrester, from November before officially taking over the role in the new year.
Tuyet was born in London and educated in Derbyshire.
She has worked in London, Derbyshire, Egypt, Manchester and Vietnam.
Ms Ramzy said: ’I’m very much looking forward to this opportunity and the move to the Isle of Man. This will be a new challenge, but one that I cannot wait to jump in to.
’I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually and socially.
’This is the atmosphere I will endeavor to create over my time at Manor Park, and I look forward to working closely with the students, parents, staff and the department to achieve this.’
Mrs Forrester will take the position as deputy head at nearby Ballacottier Primary School from January.
