The company behind the restoration of the Groudle Glen water wheel has shared footage of its progress so far.
Laxey based mining firm MMD GPHC Ltd shared the footage on its Youtube channel giving a drone view of the wheel being lifted by a giant crane.
MMD's video shows the wheel as it was lifted out above the trees by Isle of Man Heavy Crane Services which was brought in by the main contractor EG Services
Little Isabella, as the wheel is affectionately known, has been taken off the island to be restored at the MMD's specialist manufacturing facility which is in the UK.
The video also includes sped up footage of workers demolishing the wheel house which was taken down before it fell down.
The video was created and shared by MMD which gave permission for us to use it on our sites.
