One half of one of the best-loved song-writing partnerships in UK rock and pop is heading to the island for a solo show later this year.

Glenn Tilbrook (above), singer and guitarist with Squeeze, is to perform in the Promenade Suite at the Villa Marina on Friday, May 6.

Glenn is returning to the live circuit this spring, saying on his website that ’it’s been too long’.

More often seen alongside his long time band mate and fellow Squeeze founder and singer Chris Difford, who he met more than 40 years ago and penned hits such as ’Cool for Cats’, ’The Hourglass’ and ’Up The Junction’, Glenn is performing a series of solo acoustic shows around the UK throughout the early part of the year.

He has performed here many times over the past few years, both with Squeeze and as a solo artist, with the last concert being a lengthy greatest hits gig, which took place in 2019.
