Peter Fisher, 38, lives in Douglas with his wife, Tina, their daughter, Rosie, three, and stepson, Jacob, 19.

He currently works as an FX Trader at Barclays Treasury.

He moved from his native Liverpool to the island 13 years ago, and remains an ardent Liverpool FC fan.

Last month, Peter ran the huge Marathon Des Sables, an ultra marathon which is run over six days across the Sahara desert, and covering 155 miles.

Peter raised £6,500 for the Special Care Baby Unit.

What is your idea of a perfect meal?

My perfect meal is a Christmas dinner surrounded by family with a cheeseboard and selection box all to myself for afters.

What is your favourite way to relax?

Running and mountain biking. The island is a very beautiful place, and is ideal to help me relax though my outdoor hobbies.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Taking part in and completing the Marathon Des Sables Ultramarathon across the Sahara desert. It was funded by myself and was very expensive, but I managed to raise £6500.00 in sponsorship for the Special Care Baby Unit at Nobles. It was worth every penny.

Do you have any pets?

Yes. I have a dog, called Peaches

What is your greatest achievement?

My daughter Rosie. It doesn’t get better than that, although being in Istanbul seeing Liverpool win the champions league final in 2005 might run it close. Then getting married...sorry Mrs Fisher!

What is your favourite time of the year?

I love all the seasons for different reasons.

What is the first job you ever had?

I was a teenage entrepreneur.

Do you have any irrational fears?

Sharks. I am not a fan.

What is your worst habit?

I don’t think I have any.

What is your favourite book?

Any story I am reading my three-year-old daughter at bedtime. It is my favourite time of the day.

What is your favourite TV programme?

The Sopranos. It’s a TV masterpiece

What is your favourite band/artist at the moment?

The Rolling Stones

What is your favourite part of the Isle of Man?

Running along Marine Drive on a sunny day, for me , is bliss.

What is the last show/band that you saw live?

I saw Jake Bugg at the Villa Marina in February.

If time/money were no object, what would be your perfect day?

I would start the day by skiing in Canada in the morning, and then the afternoon would be spent on a beach in Thailand. Followed by watching Liverpool win the Champions League in the early evening and then I’d take my private jet to Las Vegas to watch The Stones and enjoy some fine food and a beer or two along the way. All with my family and friends if they want to come along.
