The runway at Ronaldsway was closed for a time this afternoon (Friday) following a drone sighting in the no-fly zone around the airport.
Police were called after a pilot reported seeing the drone flying in the local area.
The runway closed for a short time but has since reopened. There was no impact on passengers as no flights were due at the time.
Airport boss Garry Cobb said drones must be flown appropriately and with the correct licence and written authorisations in place.
