A crash during rush-hour sparked significant delays this evening.
The incident happened in the Quarter Bridge area on the outskirts of Douglas.
One eyewitness who passed the scene in the immediate aftermath of the incident said the incident caused ‘significant tailbacks’ in and around the junction between New Castletown Road, Peel Road and Quarterbridge Road.
A picture from the scene shows one vehicle sitting stationary on the road with damage to its bumper.
It is believed the crash happened at around 5.30pm during the traditional post-work rush hour.
