Manx Utilities is applying for planning permission (22/00197/B) to install three electric vehicle charging points in Kirk Michael.
They would be situated in the Department of Infrastructure-owned car park in the centre of the village, behind the old Isle of Man Bank building.
The charging outlets would be POD Point Twin types, which can charge two vehicles simultaneously.
The white units would be the same as those installed in other parts of the island.
Manx Utilities explained that it was approached by DoI to request the installation of EV charge points during the renovation works at the said car park.
There is also a planning application, by two private individuals, (22/00225/B) to build a car port which has an EV charge point inside it, at Spring Gardens, Douglas.
