Jamie Victoria Arthur, aged 29, of Ballacannell, Laxey, has been fined £160 for having no vehicle tax.

She did not attend court but sent a postal admission to the offence.

Magistrates also ordered her to pay £50 prosecution costs.

The court heard that Arthur’s Honda car was found parked outside her home on April 1, with tax which had expired on December 31.

It was confirmed that she had since paid the backdated tax.

She was given two months to pay the fine and costs.
