A seal that became tangled in fishing rope has been rescued by the Manx SPCA.
The seal was found on Glen Maye beach by a person who rang the animal charity.
Its officers found the adult grey seal ’badly tangled’ and needed to cut it feel.
The debris in which it was found tangled probably came from a fishing boat, which could have been from anywhere.
The seal was lucky to have been found as many animals who find themselves tangled often die.
A spokesman said: ’The seal appeared okay and bounced off into the sea.’
