The Department of Infrastructure is giving people the opportunity to find out more about a proposed new road layout in Ballasalla this week.

The plans cover a new signalised junction which could replace the mini roundabout at the entrance to Balthane industrial estate.

It will also connect with the planned ’Ballasalla bypass’ between a new roundabout at Glashen Hill, north of the village and part of Dandara’s Reayrt Mie development, and the aforementioned Balthane junction.

A drop-in session will be held at the village hall on Mill Road, between 6.30pm and 8pm on Thursday, August 19, where the plans will be on display for the public.

Members of the highways team will be on hand to discuss the proposals, and will provide a presentation at 6.30pm before taking questions.

Feedback received at the session will be considered ahead of a formal planning application in the coming months.

Details of the proposals, including the presentation, will be published on the government website after next week’s event.
