Ramsey Fire Service crews were called out to a vehicle fire on the Ramsey coast road last night (Tuesday).

A video was widely shared on social media of the vehicle burning near Corrany at the side of the road.

A statement from the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service said that upon arrival the vehicle was ‘well alight’ but was quickly under control with crews wearing breathing apparatus and using water jets to extinguish the fire.

It confirmed that nobody was injured or hurt in the incident but the vehicle was extensively damaged.

It’s unclear how the fire started.
