The Northern Swimming Pool has been forced to shut this morning (Friday) due to a ‘technical issue’.

The facility announced the closure on its Facebook page.
A spokesperson for the swimming pool confirmed it was an issue with the Plant Room.
The Plant Room contains the pool circulation and filtration equipment required to treat the pool water. As a result, all public swim sessions until 11.30am have been cancelled.
It added that a further update will be issued at 11am.
