An £800,000 house in the west of the island could be won for as little as £20.
Anne Lumley, who runs Brookfields Boarding Kennels in Kirk Michael, is selling her house in an internet competition and prize draw.
The house in which she has been living with her family for more than 20 years, is a four-bedroom property with kennels, stables and about 10 acres of ’uninterrupted views’.
Anne says the winner of the property, located in Little London valley near Cronk y Voddy, can ’move in and live mortgage-free’.
She added: ’I decided to do something different instead of putting it on the market.
’I followed a property in Lancashire that was completed successfully in the same way and I thought it was a good idea. It wasn’t easy for them to run a competition, as there was an awful lot of work to control all the entrants, but I thought it was worth giving it a go.
’There has been a lot of interest from TT fans and most people have been positive. I’ve got the odd person contacting me questioning it or thinking it’s a scam - but I let them know it’s genuine.
’I’m looking to move back to the UK so I can spend more time with my baby granddaughter in County Durham. All my family are over there and I would like to move to Yorkshire,’ she said.
The closing date for the competition has been extended until May 31 to ensure the house reaches 45,000 entries. There will be cash prizes for two more successful entrants.
Entrants are expected to answer the multiple choice question: ’In which year, on the Isle of Man, did the Festival of Motorcycling first take place?’
She added: ’The question was picked as it is something to do with the Isle of Man and the TT, but it had to be a question that was quite difficult to answer. Therefore people really need to research it.
’A lot of people have guessed incorrectly, which has proved that it’s not easy!’
