Police dealt with a crash this morning involving two casualties near to the Axnfell plantation, Lonan.

The rider and pillion passenger were both taken to hospital following the crash at the Begoade Road junction, one suffering from back pains and the other from a shoulder injury.Meanwhile, the Mountain Road was closed from the Bungalow to the Creg ny Baa while emergency services dealt with a collision in the area of Windy Corner.Police said a rider was taken to hospital but was not seriously injured.The road has since reopened.Officers have also attended a collision in the area of Keppel Gate. The road between Bungalow and Creg ny Baa was closed for a time while emergency services dealt with the incident.The roads policing unit posted: 'The Mountain Road is a section of road that is de-restricted of speed limits, but this is not a track.'Those who treat it like one will come to our attention over the next fortnight and will be dealt with accordingly.'
