The House of Keys has voted to fill the two vacant seats on the Legislative Council.
There were seven candidates hoping to be elected.
The two new members are Paul Craine, who received 16 votes, and Diane Kelsey, who received 13 votes.
Mr Craine wrote The Manx Population Atlas and previously stood for the House of Keys in 2016, but was unsuccessful.
Mrs Kelsey has been private secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of the island for the last four years
