More than a hundred people attended the official opening ceremony of the first three sections of Ramsey’s historic Queen’s Pier.

Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney attended to cut the ribbon, and the public can now venture out onto it.

Restoration work has been carried out by a group of volunteers, and funded by donations.

The Isle of Man Examiner will include a feature about the event next Tuesday.
