This week’s Isle of Man Courier is now available in a digital format.
The online edition of the Isle of Man Courier is now attracting thousands of readers.
It’s so easy to use.
To see it simply go to "Digital Editions" in the grey line near the top of the site (the one that begins Home, News, Sport).
There you will see the Digital Editions of our papers.
Click on the Courier, which is free to read.
You can turn the pages, just like you do with the paper version.
See the video below.
We will be delivering the Isle of Man Courier through as many letterboxes as we can during lockdown.
Isle of Man Newspapers has consulted with the island’s Public Health team to ask for their views.
Public Health sent us this statement: ’The likelihood of transmission of Covid-19 from papers/post/packages/any commercial goods is extremely low and has never been documented in practice. For this reason, there is no Public Health rationale for advising cessation of any distribution services.
’Delivery people should wear face coverings and maintain two metres of social distance from others.
’Regular hand hygiene is more important than gloves and we would not recommend these for public health purposes as they can give a false reassurance and hand hygiene is more important.’
Isle of Man Newspapers has asked everyone who delivers the Courier to abide by the advice we have received from the Public Health department.
Of course, anyone who delivers the newspaper who would rather not during lockdown will not be forced to do that.
At times like this, the reporting of good, accurate information is essential.
The Courier and its sister newspapers - the Isle of Man Examiner and the Manx Independent - plus www.iomtoday.co.im are committed to doing so.
In addition, all three newspapers can be read page by page in digital format via www.iomtoday.co.im
Stay safe.
