The second round of Isle of Man Clay Pigeon Shooting Club’s Winter Series Pro Sporting League was held at Meary Veg, Santon on Sunday.

A field of 26 guns took part in near-ideal conditions in the Creer and Kelly-sponsored event.

Before shooting commenced, a cheque was presented to Ann Mills of Hospice Isle of Man for £2,368.84 which was raised at the club’s annual charity event.

The leader after the first round was David Clague with a 25 straight, while only one shot behind on 24 were George Davies and Dave Corlett.

They were followed by newcomer Tom Kelly on 23 with Mark Riley, Alan Wade, John Moore, Ben Richards and Stan Cross all on 22.

At the end of the second round, Peter Fabrizio finished third in C class with 35 points, while in second on 41 was Mark Barnett but taking the class with 42 was junior David Cowin.

Will Rand was third in B class on 38 points, with junior Arran Wade taking second on 41 but George Davies was first in B with 42.

In A class Mark Riley and Alan Wade were joint second on 46 but the winner of A class with a fine score of 48 was veteran David Clague.

15, 20=35.

This Sunday is the second round of the Utopia Hair Salon-sponsored English Skeet League.
