Fire crews have been called to respond to several flooding incidents across the island due to heavy rainfall and rising water levels.

Crews from Peel, Douglas, Castletown and Ramsey have all attended incidents.

Station officer Matt Tyrer added: ‘Notably earlier this morning crews had to rescue three individuals who became trapped in their vehicle after flood water overtook the road.

Please do not drive through flood water, as even shallow water can be extremely dangerous.

‘Please limit all non-essential travel.’
