ITV’s Best Little Prison documentary has been removed temporarily removed from its catch up player for editing.

This is the second time episodes from the show have been removed from the ITV Hub.

Earlier this week, all episodes from the series - which focuses on Jurby Prison -had been removed from the Hub, with only this week’s episode available to watch on ’catchup’.

It is understood that this is due to ongoing legal proceedings regarding people who feature in the series.

An ITV spokesman said: ’Episodes of this series have been temporarily removed from the ITV Hub for re-editing for legal reasons, but they will return.’

An episode earlier in the series was temporarily removed from the ITV Hub for re-editing for ’legal reasons’, but had been reinstated before all of the series was removed for further editing.

The episode broadcast this week focused on a prisoner who works on day release in a local cafe and George Stores going to Shoprite to fill up the prison shop and saw one of the inmates blurred out of scenes.

This week’s Examiner and Manx Independent, both available in shops or online, have details of court cases which relate to individuals connected with the prison and the documentary.
