One of the horses that pulled trams along Douglas Promenade has died.

On social media, Douglas Bay Horse Tramway Online announced: 'It is with great sadness we share news of the passing of trammer William.

'Always calm and approachable for a hug, he will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by so many.

'Rest in peace, big fella.'
