Stewart Gray, aged 47, of The Park, Onchan, has had his trial date changed.
He has previously pleaded not guilty to drink-driving and was due to have a trial in summary court on June 23.
However, the court heard that an expert for the prosecution is unavailable.
The trial will now take place on September 26.
Bail continues in the sum of £500.
