Guy Martin will ride alongside John McGuinness in the Mugen Shinden team in this year’s TT Zero Challenge on Wednesday, June 7.
It was also confirmed recently that the pair will form the full factory Honda team in the Superbike and Senior TT events.
Mugen Shinden is returning to the island for a sixth year and, after losing out on a possible three-in-a-row last year by a freak incident that shut down his machine in the middle of the race, McGuinness will be even more determined to recapture the TT Zero crown in 2017.
Both riders will fly out to Tokyo in April where they will meet up with their SHINDEN ROKU (SHINDEN 6) battery-powered bikes and the dedicated team behind them.
Weather permitting, it is likely that at least one of the two Shinden machines will break the landmark 120mph barrier for the first time in June.
SHINDEN ROKU has been extensively developed from the 2016 race-winning machine (SHINDEN GO) and will be unveiled at the 2017 Tokyo Motorcycle Show at Tokyo Big Sight in March.
