A hapless pooch who got her head stuck under the seat of a van had to be rescued by fire crews.

Fire crews from Green Watch, based in Douglas, were called to the incident on Wednesday evening after cocker spaniel Suki got her head stuck in metal bars under the passenger seat of her owner’s van.

Thankfully, Sukie was not hurt following her ordeal and she was reunited with her relieved owner,

Posting on Facebook, Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Green Watch reunited Suki the Cocker Spaniel with her owner. Suki managed to get her head stuck in metal bars underneath the passenger seat of a van and was released by fire crews unharmed.

Responding under the post, her owner Malcolm Blackburn praised the crew for rescuing Suki.

He said: ‘Great bunch of lads, thanks Green Watch. Suki finished off the day deciding to get her two paws stuck in a timber fence but this time emergency services weren’t needed.’
