The Isle of Man Electoral Commission’s report due to go before Tynwald has missed the opportunity to look at the introduction of electronic voting, says Ramsey commissioner Juan McGuinness.

The report, which has been circulated to local authorities for comment, evoked a strong response from Mr Guinness, who said: ‘In 2023 we should be moving towards a technological solution that would enable online voting.

'This is a missed opportunity. We could be leading the world on this.’
