Manx footballer Adam Long has signed a new professional contract with Wigan Athletic.
The 20-year-old from the Isle of Man has put pen to paper on a new deal which will see him stay with the Latics until the summer of 2023.
The defender joined the League One outfit in 2017 having previously played for St George’s after coming through the ranks at Union Mills. Since then, over the past three years he has featured regularly for Wigan’s Under-18s and Under-23s teams.
He made his senior debut for the Latics in October 2017 in the EFL Trophy against Middlesborough.
He then went out on loan to gain experience in the National League last season during a brief spell at Notts County, scoring his first goal in professional football against AFC Fylde.
This season, the Manxman has already made no fewer than 17 appearances for the Latics.
