Corinthians wrapped up a very successful season with a comfortable 7-1 victory over Ramsey in the ECAP FA Cup final on Saturday.

The win completed a treble for Blane Slattery’s Ballafletcher outfit who have already lifted the Railway Cup and Premier League titles this campaign.

The northerners more than held their own for the first half an hour of proceedings at a sun-kissed Bowl.

Dan Simpson, however, broke the deadlock in the 31st minute before Connor Gorman added a second five minutes later to give the Whites a two-goal advantage at the break.

Corinthians took another big step toward securing the spoils barely two minutes into the second period when skipper Chris Cannell headed home at the back post.

Ramsey’s vocal support were given a glimmer of hope in the 57th minute when Luke Murray headed past his own keeper to make it 3-1.

Nevertheless, the Ballafletcher side’s three-goal lead was soon restored as Stephen Whitley struck his first of the afternoon.

As Ramsey tired, Corinthians added some gloss to the scoreline in the tie’s remaining 25 minutes.

Murray scored at the ’right’ end to make it 5-1 before Whitley added another two in the final five minutes to wrap up his hat-trick and the man-of-the-match honours.
