Isle of Man FA’s senior men’s side continue their bid to land a third Inter-League Cup crown on Sunday afternoon.
Paul Jones’s squad travel to Stokesley FC on the outskirts of Middlesbrough to face the North Riding League in the competition’s quarter-finals.
The Rushen boss has named two uncapped players in his selection of 16 for the last-eight tie that is his side’s first away game of the current run.
Rushen goalkeeper Dean Kearns, who coincidently made his Ellan Vannin debut last month, is in line for his first cap as is DHSOB’s defender Luke Doherty.
Also coming into the squad are Corinthians’ Ryan Burns and St George’s Jack McVey - the latter was off island for November’s last outing against the Liverpool County League.
Making way for Kearns is DHSOB stopper Sam Holliday while also dropping out of the squad from the LCL game are Cameron Lee, Alex Harrison and Liam Cowin.
The rules of this competition mean that only seven players from any one club can be included in the match-day 16 and only five from the same side can play at anyone time.
Nevertheless, Jones has picked a full quota from St George’s, McVey joining Sean Quaye, Julian Ringham, Sam Caine, Frank Jones and Furo Davies in the squad.
Peel provide three, Lee Gale and Daniel Bell make the trip along with midfielder Marc Kelly who is in line to make his 50th appearance for the Isle of Man FA side if he plays any part in Sunday’s midday kick-off.
Rushen contribute four - Josh Thomas, Mike Williams and Ste Riding joining newcomer Kearns in the ranks.
The weekend’s hosts are new to the competition this season, but only in name.
They reached the final last time out under their previous guise of the Teesside League.
During that run to the 2015-16 season finale, which they lost to West Yorkshire, they beat the islanders 3-1 in the competition’s quarter-final stage at a very wet and muddy Peel.
North Riding had an early reprieve in the current competition. They lost 3-2 to the Cumberland County League in the first round, but advanced after Cumberland were thrown out for a rule infringement.
In the last round they comfortably beat the Humber Premier League 5-1 to tee up the weekend’s game in Teesside.
If Jones’s men advance through this match they already know their opponents for the semi-finals.
The Amateur Football Combination beat Thames Valley Premier League 5-4 at the start of the month to earn a home draw against the Isle of Man or North Riding in the last four.
That encounter is pencilled in to take place on March 24 at Corinthian Casuals FC in south east London.
