Peel Football Club has extended its long-term sponsorship deal with a locally-based company.
The Douglas Road side is to receive backing from Dandara for a further 12 months, with the home builder having been the westerners’ principal sponsor since 2000.
It means the Sunset City club will display the Dandara name in all of its senior matches in the Canada Life Premier League and various cup competitions between now and May.
The longest established Manx club has many senior and junior teams playing across the football pyramid and Dandara’s support assists with club expenses such as team kit and equipment, as well as general improvements at the club’s Douglas Road ground.
Club secretary Colin Moore said: ’Dandara is a truly loyal and valuable supporter of the club and has been for more than 20 years now.
’We are naturally delighted to extend that association by renewing our sponsorship agreement and thank the company for its ongoing backing. It really is invaluable.’
Peel AFC has recently welcomed a number of young players into its ranks and currently lies seventh in the Premier League this season and second in Combination One.
Angela Beresford, marketing manager at Dandara, said: ’It is a pleasure to continue our long-standing relationship with Peel AFC.
’We hope the renewal of our sponsorship helps the club continue to develop and improve its facilities which are widely used by all ages in the community.’
