There’s a big match at the top of JCK Division Two this weekend when league leaders Pulrose United welcome fourth-placed Malew to Springfield Road.
The Reds currently sit seven points clear of their opponents but having played two games more as teams edge towards the business end of the season.
A win for Steven Priestnal’s men would put them within touching distance of promotion to the Premier League, but victory for Malew could throw the title/promotion race wide open.
With second-placed RYCOB having a week off, Ramsey will be hoping to reduce the seven-point gap to their northern neighbours when they travel to the Nivison Stadium to face Onchan.
The Os have endured an inconsistent season and will therefore going into this match as underdogs, especially after Ramsey won the reverse fixture 4-0.
Should Onchan lose, Union Mills will move to within a point of them if they get the better of Gymns in a potential banana skin in Tromode.
Like Malew, Foxdale have games in hand over the top three sides and they will be expected to make up some ground this weekend when they host Douglas and District at Billy Goat Park, but the visitors are tricky customers on their day and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Colby and Ayre United have both been in resurgent form in recent weeks and they will be expected to continue their revivals this weekend when they host Governor’s Athletic and visit Michael United at Balleira Road respectively.
