Places in the semi-finals of the GH Corlett Woods Cup are up for grabs for several second division sides this weekend.

Fast becoming known as cup specialists, Douglas and District will be hoping to derail Braddan’s hopes of a possible league and cup treble when they make the short journey to Victoria Road on Saturday afternoon.

Braddan remain well-placed to claim promotion from JCK Division Two and will be favourites to progress, but the Swans will need to be wary of complacency against a Noble’s Park outfit that pushed Foxdale all the way in the FA Cup last weekend.

An intriguing encounter is on the cards at the Nivison Stadium where Onchan and Pulrose United battle it out in what should be a close game. Form favours the Os going into this match, but with three wins and two draws in their last five outings, Pully are also in fine fettle so this one could well go either way.

The other quarter-final clash sees RYCOB head down the east coast to Tromode where they take on Gymns in a battle of the so-called Jekyll and Hyde sides of the second division.

Consistency has been an issue for both sides this season so it’s difficult to predict this one, but Gymns won the recent league fixture between the two 3-1 and so will fancy their chances again this weekend.

The sole game in Division Two sees Douglas Royal travel to Marown knowing thateven a draw would be good enough to rubberstamp promotion to the top flight.
