Corinthians will face Rushen United in the final of this season’s Prime Plastering Hospital Cup on Friday evening.
The Whites and Spaniards emerged triumphant in their semi-finals against Peel and Union Mills respectively last Saturday afternoon.
Corinthians ran out 5-1 winners against a plucky Peel side at Ballafletcher thanks to a brace from Luke Murray plus further strikes from Danny Gerrard, Dan Simpson and an own goal.
Paul Whitehead netted the consolation for Peel.
Rushen were forced to come from behind against the talented Millers at Croit Lowey.
Tyler Hughes gave the visitors an early lead but goals from Furo Davies, Aaron Hawley, Jack Camarda and Adam Cooil sealed the Spaniards’ place in the final.
Corinthians are the current holders of the Hospital Cup, having beaten Ramsey in last year’s final.
But the Whites are set to be without several of their big stars for the showpiece event, while it remains to be seen whether any of Rushen’s FCIoM contingent will play.
Kick off is 7pm - report in next week’s Examiner.
