Gemma Astin smashed the long-standing Isle of Man women's half-marathon record by more than two and a half minutes in Manchester this morning.
Astin ran a time of 1 hour 11 minutes and 54 seconds to take the bronze medal in the England Half-Marathon Championship behind Lauren McNeill and Lauren Howarth.
The 32 year old's time takes 2 minutes 35 seconds off the Isle of Man record that had stood to Brenda Walker since 1991.
