The Gracie Barra Isle of Man Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team enjoyed another very successful trip to England for the All Stars BJJ Manchester Open recently.
Prior to the trip, the team had been working tirelessly towards this competition since training was permitted.
The event in Manchester saw the Gracie Barra fighters compete alongside hundreds of others from across the UK in various matches throughout the weekend.
The team achieved some excellent results along the way, clinching no fewer than six gold medals plus two silver and two bronze to cap a memorable weekend.
The standout competitors were 18-year-old Alanna Pritchard who won numerous matches to claim triple gold and the tournament belt, while Mark Franklin claimed double gold and Louise Gawne clinched a gold and a bronze in her first tournament.
Gracie Barrie hopes to send a kids team to London in October and an adults squad to Manchester in November.
