The three Ravenscroft Manx Shield games all went the way of the form book on Saturday with wins for Ramsey Reds, Blues and Nomads Whites.

This left the standings pretty much unchanged from the previous round a fortnight earlier.

At Mooragh Park, league leaders Ramsey Blues beat Castletown 59-22.

Blues skipper Connor Casey ran in a hat-trick of tries, Dan Richmond and Craig Long bagged two apiece and there were also scores from Dale Radcliffe, Chris Clague and, on his senior debut, Luke Ward.

Radcliffe added three conversions and Richmond one.

Nick Wild crossed twice for Town in response, with Robin Webster and Ross Quayle also scoring. Elliott Burnett converted one.

At the Queen Elizabeth II High School pitch on the outskirts of Peel, Nomads Whites kept the pressure on Ramsey with a 49-13 victory against Western Vikings who actually led after 25 minutes.

Harry Goodwin’s try, converted by Luke Oldfield, gave Vikings the lead but was soon cancelled out by one at the other end from Finn McGregor, converted by George Callister.

Goodwin then added two penalties to put Vikings in front again before the direction of traffic became one-way. Tony Quinn ran in two for Nomads, with other scores coming from Max Fairbairn, Harry Brereton, Josh Smith and Will Taisia, plus Callister knocking over all six conversions.

In the final game, Ramsey Reds beat Eastern Barbarians 82-0 at Port-e-Chee to keep them in the frame at the sharp end of the table.

Jake Richmond and Adam Dunlop both picked up hat-tricks for the Reds (who were confusingly playing in blue due to a colour clash at Mooragh Park).

Brandon Atchison ran in two and kicked 11 conversions, while there were also tries from Brayden Roche, Ivo Morrey, Josh Corteen and skipper Matt Meechan.
