A casualty was taken to Noble’s Hospital with serious injuries following the crash on the Mountain Road today (Sunday).
In an update from the police, it says a collision between two vehicles happened at about 10.20am near the Graham Memorial on the Verandah.
The casualty’s condition was described as ’serious but not life-threatening’.
Inspector Mark Newey said: ’Police have been at the scene for a number of hours and, at this time, the road remains closed.
’Police would like to thank the public for their assistance as witnesses to the incident have come forward and are currently helping the police with their enquiries.
’The police appreciate members of the public’s patience in relation to the closing of the road and rest assured, we will re-open as soon as the investigation and recovery is completed.’* The Mountain Road has now re-opened.
